The Inverted Worlds Conference is organised by the Orient Institute in Beirut. It will take place all over Beirut in many different venues between 4-8 October 2012

The line up of presenters is very impressive and includes Lev Manovich. Yay!!

I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to partake in one of the panels, titled:Linear and Non Linear Narratives.  The Tabouli Performer will be making an appearance too!

Tabouli Performer in Present Tense Two

The Tabouli Performer slid into the car park of Madinat Jumeirah and was welcomed by young an old. She was not alone. She had lots and lots of help preparing her tabouli ingredients. She was not alone. There were so many other young potential tabouli perfomers, much younger than her and with their hand on the pulse. She performed her piece better than ever. A friend commented: "This is a good beginning." She agrees with him. 

The Life & Death of the Tabouli Performer: March 20th, 2009

The Tabouli Performer will be performing at the ArtDubai Fair on March 20th at the Art Park. 

She will not be in her best form. She will not be wearing her best outfit. She will not be serving her Tabouli on a spiffy clean and silver plated platter. She will not be her usual self. 

She would love to see you there.

The Tabouli Performer is under siege in her hometown of Beirut and will not be able to be with you tonight to perform the third part of her tabouli service.

While hiding out in the northern mountains of Lebanon, waiting for the Israelis to stop their bombardments, and for the UN to announce an official cease fire, she made and served lots and lots of Tabouli, not to you unfortunately, but to many other healthy-minded, and 'news' addicted adults.
